After leaving UNLV in 1985, Hyde developed Football Promotions of Nevada (a television and radio broadcast company) and was a featured talk-show host on legendary Las Vegas KDWN 720AM, a heritage 50,000 watt radio station heard in the 14 western states and as Executive Producer and Co-Host of the Jerry Tarkanian Show on SportsChannel America.
Hyde served as pre-game host for USC Trojans football on KMPC 1540, Los Angeles and then at ESPN 710 Los Angeles where he also served as the co-host of a highly popular Sunday college football show analyzing USC Trojans football.
Hyde has been an on-air talent in Las Vegas for over thirty years and continues his popular weekly USC Trojan Talk show on AM1400 KSHP radio which began running in 1991 at the suggestion of former USC athletic Director Mike Garrett.
Premiering Wednesday, September 7 (8:30 PM PT) Harvey Hyde joins AM 830 KLAA Radio as host of a new mid-week college football talk show originating from the Keith Jackson Broadcast Center at the Rose Bowl Stadium. The show runs through the College Football Bowl Season focusing on USC, UCLA, the Pac12 Conference and the College Football Playoff selection committee process.
